A service of prayers, bible readings, a sermon, singing, and the Eucharist. On the third Sunday of the month communion in the Uniting Church tradition is held.
Also known as Christening, this is a service of welcome to a new member of the church. Our church baptises anyone who wants to commit their lives to Jesus, from babies on up through later life. Baptisms are usually conducted in one of our regular services.
The priest/minister will assist with Christian wedding services held at St Peter and Emmaus Church or at other venues. Divorce no longer prevents a person remarrying in a church.
The priest/minister will meet with the family to plan the service and then lead the service. Funerals can be held in St Peter and Emmaus Church, at cemeteries or at funeral homes – burials or cremations. Support for the family is available from the clergy who are trained in grief counselling.
